Live Fully In Christ

Elder Sean D. Smith

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

- Colossians 2:6-7, NKJV

It goes without saying that when you receive a gift, the expectation is that you use it. Givers gift items to receivers with expectation that what is given is received and used to the fullest; however, many of us are only receiving Christ half halfheartedly. While we willingly receive the fullness of His salvation, we are reluctant to receive the fullness of His lordship. But what if the same spectacular God that affords us the riches and freedom of salvation is the same extraordinary God that will set us free from the conformity of this world…if and only if we live fully in Christ? So what exactly does that mean? Well if you live fully in Christ, then you are willing to receive the “fullness” of God’s blessings – salvation and lordship…facilitating an incomparable walk in Him, rooted in faith - As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving (Colossians 2:6-7, NKJV). So are willing to use God’s gift to the fullest [Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17, NKJV)]…if so live fully in Christ today and watch how He directs you walk in the ways of righteousness.

BE BLESSED!
